FAQs

Accommodation: Top of the range Safari offers Luxury Accommodation in
lodges, tented camps. Middle range safari offers budget lodging and Camping
widely.

Banking: There are several international banks: Barclays, Standard
Chartered bank, Citi Bank, and Bank of Baroda. Visa, Master card, AMEX and
other major cards acceptable, but mostly in up- market Kampala and
upcountry lodges, hotels and retail businesses.

Climate: Read widely about the climatic conditions that may affect your
trip, where in some times unpredictable especially near mountains for rains
and chilling whether and coastal regions with intense heat

Airport: Our visitors should expect our Airport transfers to be smooth.

Health: Some vaccinations are a must before one embarks on their journey
here and so should check with your foreign office to make sure you take
necessary shots.

Food and Drinks: Various cuisines and European and Asian dishes can be got
in various hotels while proven safe bottled water available in a wide range
of brands

General Booking Terms and Conditions

Reservations and Payments:
When booking with Eco-Royal Voyages Travel Services (ERVTS) one ought to
specify areas of touring interest, Dates of Departure and arrival,
accommodation arrangements and flight details if known. Gorilla tracking
will necessitate a 15 week Advance booking, Children fewer than 12 will not
be allowed to track Chimpanzees while Gorilla tracking will require one to
have clocked 15.
A 50% deposit is required 10 weeks before intended departure or at time of
booking with balance being settled 30 days prior to commencement of the
tour. Provided reservation is made within 30 days of departure date, the
entire amount due must be made at time of confirmation.

Tour Alteration:
The right is reserved to alter any route or arrangement, to cancel the
operation of any scheduled tour should conditions necessitate. The right is
also reserved to decline, accept or retain any member of a tour at anytime.
Should you fail to join a tour, join it after departure or leave prior
completion; no tour fare refund can be made.

Cancellation:
Full refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 60 days
prior to commencement of a safari. Refund on all prepaid money will be
based on cancellation fees levied by hotels, lodges and banks. In general
terms cancellation calls for 50% charge within 14- 35 days, 75% charge with
2- 24 days, and 100% charge within 48 hours. We reserve the right to deduct
all expenses incurred from any money paid. Gorilla permits are non
refundable.

Transfer of booking:
In the event you are unable to travel due to extraordinary circumstances,
we may transfer your booking to another party provided the arrangements
remain the same and if suppliers (Airlines, hotels etc) are all ready to
accept the transfer. Gorilla permits are transferable in some instances.

Mode of payment:
A price quotes are in US dollars. Payments may be done in cash or
traveler’s cheques to Eco-royal voyages travel services (ERVTS) or your
travel agent. Foreign currency cheques, TTs and payments by credit card may
be accepted subject to bank charges at the prevailing rate, based on local
currency can be accepted at the current dollar buying rate. Cheques and
TC’s may incur Manager’s discretion service charge.

Pricing of tour packages:
Price quotes are inclusive of transport as per the itinerary, park entrance
fees, permits where applicable, driver’s allowances and third party
insurance. The rates are exclusive of accommodation and meals while in
Kampala, traveler’s insurance, local departure taxes, Visa fees,
gratuities, Soda, Alcohol beverages, Telephone calls, Laundry and other
person expenses.

Transport:
Mode for transport utilized will be dependent on the number of clients and
the route taken based on specifications of the itinerary. Fully dependable
and experienced English speaking driver/guide are provided.

Accommodations:
The basis on twin bedded rooms or tents with private bathrooms were
possible. Single rooms may be available with the payment of supplement fee
but cannot always be guaranteed. Some facilities have available double beds
upon request

Traveler’s Insurance:
You are advised to buy travel insurance through your agent before coming
traveling, local evacuation coverage is available in the unlikely event of
a medical emergency while out in the bush. Please request this at the time
of booking

Liability:
All bookings are accepted on condition that Eco-royal voyages travel
services(ERVTS) and its agents act only as agents of the passengers in all
matter relating to hotel/lodge accommodations, tours, transport etc and
shall not liable to injury, delay loss or damage in the manner whatsoever.
ERVTS the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or part of the
services agreed to be supplied. ERVTS’s liability to passengers carried
in its own vehicles is governed by the respective laws of the country. All
claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in
which the cause of action arises.Finally, whilst every care is taken, ERVTS
cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage.

Complaints/Refunds:
If the client has a complaint/refund query about any aspect of their
holiday it should be reported immediately to Eco-royal voyages travel
service’s local representatives in the resort who will do whatever they
can do during the Safari. If the problem is not resolved to the client’s
satisfaction any further complain/refund query should be made by the client
in writing to ERVTS not later than 30 days following completion of the
holiday, failing which no claim me be brought against ERVTS. There will be
no refund on unutilized services.

Viewing Animals:
When it come to game viewing, please be advised there are no Guarantees.
It’s a privileged to see animals in their natural habitat. Take only a
photograph; leave only a footprint. A Gorilla permits Guarantees you will
track Gorillas to their location but does not guarantee that the Gorillas
are in plain sight.
