For visitors who have been to Serengeti, Selous parks, it’s a break from the tradition of vast plains, i mean perfect safari country. This park is a fulfilled but compact game viewing circuit, a treasure not to be missed; forested tracts opening into measurably brief plains. An area spanning approximately 50 km inclined to a hefty 600m or so Rift valley escarpment. Visitors will be initiated to the pack by an army of Baboons doing what they can do best, majestic bushbuck elusively making their way in the shadows of ancient mahogany trees. We should not have to miss out on that specific attraction for ornithologists who ought to feast on some the 400 + endemics, even amateurs can spot more than a hundred in the first day. Complete with forest, game treasured grassy flood plains, alkaline lakes home to flamingos and other water birds, a spontaneous disruption of the Masaai steppe by volcanic blue peaks so strikingly beautiful, this is a classic gem. Park visitors will be able to see with certainty herds of Zebra, wildebeest, large buffaloes, platoons of blue monkeys, kirks’ dik dik. One will chance themselves on viewing the Climbing lions and impressively tusked Elephants, the hot springs steaming adjacent to the lake shore is also an experience you will have to bag.
