This is the largest national park in Africa and in it roam astronomical numbers of wild game, the undiscovered circuit due to the trickle of visitors who set foot here, a somewhat strong Elephant herd of 60,000 or so, Hippos clock 40,000 while buffalo herds will threaten anything above 160,000.wild dogs roam the park and their predatory power is substantiated by a 5000 strong lion population. The park also has landmark endowments in its own ranks in terms of  variety; Knob billed ducks, Warthog, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Bataleur Eagle, Leopard, Southern Ground hornbill, Crocodiles, snake and Lizards among others.
