Birding and Mount Elgon Hike Safari - Sipi Falls (3 days)

Day One: Drive to Mount Elgon.

In the morning we will pick you up at your hotel for the journey to Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, The journey takes 5 hours past the Mabira Forest, then onward to Sipi Falls where we check in at the Lacam Lodge/ Sipi Falls Lodge.

Enjoy a mouth washing lunch with local ingredients grown around the Mount Elgon area, even the coffee or tea comes from around here. After Lunch you will explore Sipi Falls. Look out for different bird species like golden Winged and Tacazze Sunbirds , Turacos and Hornbill birds you discover as you climb to the top of the falls, the hike will take about 2 1/2 hours. Dinner and over night at the Lacam Lodge/ Sipi Falls Lodge.

Day 2: Hiking

Morning Breakfast and a packed lunch, set off for a day of hiking and birding on Mount Elgon. After a short drive to reach the Exploration Center we take a day trail montane and bamboo forests, there are splendid views of Mount Elgon and the valleys below. Expect to see fields of wildflowers, butterflies, and birds such as the black and white casqued Hornbill, Hartlaub's Turaco, bar-tailed Trogon, grey throated Barbet, Montane Oriole, Mountain Greenbull and Black Collared Apalis to mention but a few. Enjoy your packed lunch along the way reaching the lodge early evening. Dinner and overnight at the mountain lodge.

Day 3: In the Morning after breakfast drive back to Kampala.
