Mountain Gorillas & Wildlife Tour (5 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Lake Mburo National Park)

Day One: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early morning, drive south west taking the Masaka Mbarara road to head to Bwindi the Gorilla sanctuary. The drive will take you through towns, homesteads, grasslands, and banana plantations to reach the park in the late afternoon. You will stop at the Equator for photographs and in Mbarara for lunch to reach in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community.

Day Two: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in the Bwindi Gorilla Forest

In the morning you will have heavy breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on at 9:00 am you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community.

Day Three: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast you will drive towards Mbarara district to Lake Mburo National Park. This calls for an early start to reach Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon. You will reach the park to drive and check in your lodge and then go for a walk in the Rwonyo area. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented Camp/ Rwonyo Rest Camp.

Day Four: Wildlife, Game drive & Canoe ride on Lake Mburo.

In the morning after breakfast you will go for a game drive in the park to search for predators and other animal species like the hyenas, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, to mention. After the game drive you will return to the Lodge for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a canoe ride on Lake Mburo to view water game. Expect swamps of hippos, crocodiles, and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting the birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Rwonyo Rest Camp.

Day Five: Drive to Kampala.

Have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. You will have a game drive enroute to proceed and stop at the equator for photographs. You will reach Kampala in the evening.

• An English speaking driver/guide
• Transportation with fuel in a 4x4 Wheel Drive vehicle
• Park Entrance fees
• Accommodation on full board for luxury and budget it is half board
• Gorilla tracking fee and other itinerary activities
