As if neatly glued between Rwenzori and Lake Albert, adjacent with, tracts of ever green rain forest an extension of Congolese Ituri, wetlands and savannah. The shoe bill stork is among the 400 bird species resident here. The big game to be viewed here are Forest Elephants usually smaller and hairy than Savannah dwellings, Leopard, Buffalo, Antelopes, Uganda kob ,massive maned lions never seen anywhere in Africa, and Chimpanzees among others. The National park with 220sq km is one of the richest in Flora and Fauna in Africa. Semliki game reserve is 545 sq km in western rift valley. One can view Hot springs; do forest walks, highly alluring for bird watchers and sitatungas.

Visitors will chance on mingling with the Abamba natives who are slope tribesmen, they file their teeth making them pointed and dress their hair very carefully. Many interesting places like the hot springs and for some steaming an egg would be a memorable undertaking. Once in Ntoroko you can take a boat trip to the lake, you will encounter Hippos and shoebill stock
